Summary: Woke up with some thunder today. Should be looking at a dry rest of the day. Severe weather possible Thursday PM/Friday AM.
We woke up to a few non-severe thunderstorms this morning which made things wet first thing. All of that has pushed through the area now. There is a 50% chance of rain for the rest of the day as high temps reach 79 degrees, even though I feel like that rain chance may be a bit much. It’s pretty windy with winds coming from the SSW at about 10-15 mph.
The SPC has us outlooked for just general thunderstorms today. No severe weather.
Tonight’s low will be a very mild 63 degrees as rain chances decrease to about 20%.
Wednesday we will see only a slight chance of rain at 30% under partly sunny skies and a high temp of 82 degrees. The SPC still has us outlooked for Wednesday for just general thunderstorms but nothing severe.
The severe weather will stay off to our west on Wednesday, but that will be pushing through here likely late Thursday, early Friday.
End of the week chance of severe weather…. again.
The SPC is outlooking us for Thursday under a SLIGHT chance of severe weather. We are barely on that line. To be on the safe side, I’m just going to say we are outlooked in the SLIGHT category (the yellow below).
We are on the edge of this, so likely our chance of severe weather will be late Thursday night into Friday morning it appears as an advancing cold front mixes with warm moist air setting off thunderstorms.
It doesn’t appear to be a big chance for us, but we expect some warnings to be issued as this system moves through the Mid State. This could change as we get closer, but something to watch.
The weekend looks dry, and perfect!
So far the forecast for the weekend looks pretty good for Saturday and Sunday, with temps in the low 70’s. There is only a 20% chance of rain on Sunday.
